El fenómeno de las viviendas de uso turístico ha generado en los últimos años un abundante tratamiento doctrinal en España desde diversos puntos de vista. No obstante, se aprecia la inexistencia de estudios que analicen dicha problemática más allá de nuestras fronteras. En un momento en el cual el alquiler vacacional se ha conectado con el ámbito urbanístico y con su incidencia en el mercado del alquiler residencial, resulta interesante acudir al ámbito internacional para dar cuenta de cómo se han enfrentado diversas ciudades a estas problemáticas. Para ello, se analizarán algunos casos, en concreto, los de San Francisco, Nueva York, Londres, Berlín y Ámsterdam.
