Submission Preparation Checklist

As part of the submission process, authors are required to check off their submission's compliance with all of the following items, and submissions may be returned to authors that do not adhere to these guidelines.
  • The submission has not been previously published, nor is it before another journal for consideration (or an explanation has been provided in Comments to the Editor).
  • The submission file is in Microsoft Word document file format.
  • If the manuscript has citations/bibliography, the list is included at the end of the work, ordered alphabetically and in accordance with the instructions for authors.
  • The text adheres to the stylistic and bibliographic requirements outlined in the Author Guidelines.
  • I agree to the terms of the "Copyright" section of the Guidelines for Authors:
The acceptance of a work for publication in the journal entails the transfer of copyright for purposes of printed, electronic, online, or any other means of dissemination. It also includes the right to include the work in the Biblioteca Virtual de Derecho Público Aragonés (www.derechoaragones.es) if its subject matter is suitable for inclusion.

Author Guidelines

1. Originality
The Revista Aragonesa de Administración Pública only accepts original and unpublished works for publication.

2. Objective, Theme, and Audience
The objective of the journal is to publish high-quality legal studies on Administrative Law aimed at the academic and professional community related to Public Administration.

3. Commitment

Submitting a paper to the Revista Aragonesa de Administración Pública entails a commitment not to withdraw it if the journal communicates its intention to publish it after the corresponding evaluation. It also implies a commitment not to publish the work elsewhere beforehand, as the paper cannot be withdrawn for submission to another journal (a right waived from the moment the work is submitted for evaluation), except in the case of a rejection by the Revista Aragonesa de Administración Pública, disagreement with the section of the journal where it would be published, or with the modifications required. Non-compliance with this requirement allows the journal to outright reject any other work submitted by the same author.

4. External Evaluation

The original manuscripts received are subject to anonymous evaluation by external specialists before being accepted by the Advisory Board and Editorial Board. The evaluation focuses on the formal, methodological, content-related aspects, and degree of originality of the works. If the evaluation is favorable, the study is published after acceptance by the Advisory Board (composed of members external to the publisher) and the Editorial Board (composed of members linked to the publisher). If the evaluation is negative, the study is not published, although if the reasons provided by the reviewer are not fully convincing to the Director of the Journal, the Advisory Board, or the Editorial Board, the work will be subjected to a second evaluation. If the evaluation is conditional, the reviewer’s observations are communicated to the author, who may resubmit their study with the appropriate corrections for further review, except when the issues raised are of minimal significance. Under no circumstances will the names of the reviewers responsible for an evaluation be disclosed; however, a list of these reviewers is periodically published in the journal.

5. Identifying Data

At the beginning of the published articles, the dates of receipt and acceptance of the manuscripts will be indicated, as well as the corresponding bibliographic header, which will also appear on each of its pages.

6. Copyright

7. Formatting Rules

Header: The manuscript must begin with a table of contents listing all the subdivisions in sequence. After the table of contents, an abstract and a set of keywords must appear, both in Spanish and English.

Bibliography: The works must include at the end a bibliography of cited sources, arranged alphabetically according to the following models (for books, journal articles, and contributions in collective works):

Fernández-García, José Francisco (2024): "La problemática de los parques eólicos y su solución a través del urbanismo", Revista de Estudios de la Administración Local y Autonómica, 22, pages. 53–75. https://doi.org/10.24965/reala.11371

García de Enterría (2006: 25). If citing multiple works by the same author published in the same year, these will be distinguished by a letter added after the year: 2006a, 2006b, etc.
