Transparency in land planning and management

This paper examines the legal regulation of environmental and urban development openness as a key point to properly exercise the right to information and citizens´ participation in town planning and land use. Special attention is paid to the utility of the new technologies of information and communication in the public sector since they ease the exercise of rights and fulfillment of duties by electronic means. It is also subject of analysis the access to information through the mentioned means as well as the different administrative procedures, always from a sustainable economy and sustainable environmental development point of view.
