An overview of the structure of the electricity market in Spain

The Spanish electricity sector has experienced a deep reestructuring process during more than a decade. The aim has been the actual introduction of competition in those activities in which that was bath technically and economically possible, libe the generation are. Hawever, the results from thes liberalization process reveal natanly that the degree of concentration in the sector is stil high but some reforms are indeed possible and needed.
