The public higher education service at public universities

Abstract

In the work it is analyzed the peculiar public service that gives the University, departing from the analysis of the different implied Administrations, with special thoroughness in the consideration of the Universities as atypical institutional entities. For what it concerns to the service, aspects are examined as the quality of the same one and its object, concluding the need that law penetrates into the task of the attainment of the quality and the excellence without wastage of other values that have to remain recognizable as essential missions of the University, which is not limited to the teaching, the investigation and the study, since the University, beside issuing titles, comes called to get the integral formation of the student and to assume a role as modal in the transmission of social values and a social commitment.
