The new Waste and Contaminated Soils Law for a Circular Economy dedicates Title VI to the regulation of the instruments and information obligations to which the different parties will be subject. It aims at improving transparency and traceability of waste system. The main novelties are the obligation to submit annual reports by natural or legal persons who produce or manage waste and the information that the Ministry for the Ecological Transition and the Demographic Challenge must send to the European Commission. Regulation of other information mechanisms (chronological archives, waste production and management register) is updated with respect to the previous waste law.
