The regime of natural heritage in France

The French system of legal protection of the natural heritage is influenced by the international and European law of the environment, which imposes to consider this protection as a value of civilization and a legal requirement of first rank. Regarding these objectives, the French legal framework also presents certain specificities at the level of sources and legal mechanisms, as well as in the way of implementing them. This double profile observes here through the presentation of the eight main aspects of the concerned legal regime.
