Abstract

The following article provides an overview of the environmental policies in Peru in order to solve the central issues of forestry management. Furthermore, it explains the constitutional basis for the protection of the environment and its forest resources. According to the forest regulations, this paper also describes the classes of forest concessions and the environmental management plans (environmental licensing) that are required.
